Road improvement work completed - one step closer to delivery
In December, we announced that Eternali entered into an agreement to acquire five eucalyptus plantations in the state of Pará, Brazil. The acquisition includes 1,300 hectares of planted land with approximately 400,000 tonnes of fully grown eucalyptus. Simultaneously to this, improvement work started on road and bridge sections in connection with the plantations. These works are now completed.
After just over a month of intensive improvement work with the road between the plantation and the transshipment port at the outlet of the Paru River, it is now passable. An important milestone for us to start delivering eucalyptus to our customers, says Gustavo Silveira, COO at Eternali.
The road and bridge restoration between the plantations and the transshipment port at the outlet of the Paru River means roughly 20 kilometres that needed to be filled up and secured. The work began in December and was completed at the end of January 2023.
